Have You Found It Difficult or Impossible to Quit Smoking, No Matter What You Try?
Maybe you've tried nicotine patches or prescription pills, cold turkey, acupuncture… But no matter what you tried, you just couldn't get rid of that craving for a cigarette, and you ended up smoking again after a few days or weeks.
Or maybe you quit for months, or even years, but never really got over the desire to smoke. The entire time, you felt like a smoker who wasn't smoking - you were just waiting to see how long you could 'hold out,' until eventually you went back to smoking.
Whether you're desperate to quit, or just feel like you ‘need' to quit smoking...
What you really want is to not WANT to smoke anymore, right? You just want to live a normal life, without being miserable and depressed because you're not smoking. What you DON'T want is to experience craving after craving, and spend the rest of your life feeling angry and deprived, wishing you could smoke.
In other words, you want to feel like a NON-smoker, not like a smoker who is just refraining from smoking.
But if you're tried to quit and failed, you may be feeling like you are just to ‘weak' to quit, that you don't have the ‘willpower' to get it done. You may be starting to wonder if there anything out there that will work for you.
Is it hopeless?
It's not hopeless. One of the most important things I've learned is that when people can't quit smoking, it's not because they are ‘weak', or don't have enough ‘willpower.' Usually, it just means they haven't had access to the right tools to deal with the psychological aspects of quitting.
How do you get the right tools?
Well, a good place to start is my free quit smoking mini-course. It will give you some insight into the psychological issues that may be preventing you from quitting, and provide a series of action steps to begin to eliminate them. You can learn more and sign up here.
Or learn more about whether this approach will work for you.
